1. General Shipping Overview

True North Trading Ltd. specializes in the export of premium grains, seeds, and pulses from Alberta, Canada, to destinations worldwide. We offer various shipping methods, including bulk vessel, containerized cargo (20ft/40ft), and intermodal rail-to-port solutions.

2. International Trade Terms (Incoterms)

Unless otherwise specified in a signed Sales Contract, all shipments are conducted under Incoterms® 2020 standards. The specific terms (e.g., FOB, CIF, CFR) governing the transfer of risk and cost will be clearly outlined in your individual Proforma Invoice or Sales Agreement.

3. Documentation & Compliance

We ensure all Canadian export requirements are met, providing:

• Commercial Invoices

• Packing Lists

• Certificates of Origin

• Phytosanitary Certificates (as required by the destination country)

• Bills of Lading

Note: The buyer is responsible for verifying specific import permits and customs regulations in their local jurisdiction prior to shipment.

4. Delivery Timelines

Estimated delivery dates are provided as a courtesy and are subject to change due to:

• Grain elevator processing schedules.

• Rail and port congestion.

• Steamship line availability.

• Seasonal weather conditions in Western Canada. 

 
True North Trading Ltd. is not liable for losses resulting from carrier delays or "Force Majeure" events beyond our reasonable control.

5. Inspection and Claims

All products undergo quality grading according to Canadian Grain Commission standards prior to loading. Any claims regarding shortage or damage during transit must be filed in accordance with the terms of the specific insurance policy and Bill of Lading governing the shipment.
